Perkongsian ini berkenaan dengan Ujian Akhir Sesi Akademik Bahasa Inggeris Tahun 6 UASA

Here’s a summary of the changes to UASA BI Paper format:

• Only 1 paper, instead of 2 paper for comprehension and writing in the past
• Total of 7 parts in the new exam paper
• Objective questions will have only 3 options (ABC), instead of 4 (ABCD)
• Word count for composition is lower
• New form of question, such as Word Completion

Part 1: short text, multiple choice, 5 marks

• Short text can be in the form of Notice, Notes, Emails, et cetera
• Objective question with 3 options (A, B & C) only
• 1 mark for each question, total of 5 question

Part 2: Grammar, cloze text, 4 marks

• Short article with a few paragraph long
• Cloze test, whereby students are required to choose the correct missing words
• All objective questions with 3 options given
• 1 mark for each quest

Part 3: Comprehension, multiple choice, 5 marks

• Objective questions with 3 options each
• 1 mark for each question, total 5 questions in Part 3 BI Exam paper
• Similar with previous comprehension section. Students will need to answer 5 questions based on the information provided in the article

Part 4: Matching multiple text, 6 marks

• Students will get a few short articles (usually just 1 paragraph), then answer the question based on the article
• Usually the questions are in the form of matching
• For example, short article describing the appearance of three individuals, then questions asking about these for you to choose which description matches that person

Part 5: word completion, 5 marks

• this is new type of question
• question provide an explanation of the word, and the first letter, students to fill up the missing letter
• this could be a challenge for students who don’t have strong vocabulary

Part 6: Short communicative writing, 10 marks

• Only 1 questions that worth 10 marks, so you better pay attention to this part
• Common question types of communicative writing are email, letter, notice, etc
• For example, write an email to your cousin, sharing with her about your visit to Melaka
• Writing should be between 30 – 50 words

Part 7: Longer communicative message, 15 marks

• Only 1 question and student must answer it
• Composition must be between 60 to 80 words
• Comparing with Part 6, the requirements here are higher and question format is not limited to email and letter only
